SOLIDWORKS PDM User Course Overview

The SOLIDWORKS PDM User course is designed to equip participants with the fundamental skills and concepts necessary for the successful use of SOLIDWORKS PDM (Product Data Management). This course is aimed at anyone who will manage files within the SOLIDWORKS PDM environment, providing a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively utilize this tool to manage project files and documentation.

Skills Learned:

  • Grasp the basic concepts and components of SOLIDWORKS PDM software.
  • Learn to log in, create project folders, add new and existing documents to the vault, and check in documents along with their references.
  • Understand how to check out files, create new revisions and versions, and view document history.
  • Search the vault for custom properties and other metadata.
  • Utilize workflow states, notifications, and transitions effectively.
  • Work with computed bill of materials (BOM) and export them to CSV and other file formats.
